Quick Resume:  I started taking lessons from the Tony Monforte School of Modern Drumming on April 16, 1966 in Binghamton, NY. I played Snare Drum in the Susquehanna Valley School Marching and Concert Bands (67, 68, 69 &70) and Tenor Drum in the Castlemen Drum & Bugle Corps in summer of 68. I formed my first Rock band, "The Livin' End" in the fall of 66 and played our first gig at a Junior High Graduation Dance in 67. In 1969, I joined his first successful band, Priapus, and won the Battle of the Bands in Binghamton, NY in 1970. I played Drums and Percussion in the Army Band Program in Korea, Germany, Georgia, and Calif.. After leaving the Army, I stayed in Monterey, CA where he met Michael Gregory and joined Mad Dash. Mad Dash migrated to Grass Valley and expanded to include many talented Musicians and Singers. I also play in CoolHeat, a local band that plays Smooth Jazz and Light Rock. I began teaching Drums in 1998 and opened The Drum Studio on March 1st, 2004. I currently teach 37 students. I also instructs 20 6-8th grade drummers in the Lyman Gilmore Middle School Band and 10 4-8th grade drummers in the Union Hill School Band.
