| Quick Resume: I began my own piano lessons at the age of 9. After high school, I went onto study piano, organ, and voice at University of Portland and University of Puget Sound. Upon graduation, I taught piano privately for 3 years in the Federal Way area until I began work at Boeing. While working at Boeing, in Wilmington, Delaware, I taught piano privately part-time for 3 years. To enhance my teaching skills, I taught safety at Boeing for 6 years. I pursued my Masters degree after leaving Boeing, and later I became a paraeducator for two years, teaching kindergartners writing, math, and reading.
Now I am back full-time privately teaching Piano Performance, Voice Performance, Recorder Performance, Theory and Composition, Musicianship, Ear Training, Technique, Music History, Improvisation, Sight-Reading, and Ensemble Playing.
I am able to help you sing French, German, Spanish, Greek, and English with the proper vocalizations. I have over 20+ years singing a capella (no instrument accompianiment).
I have been teaching for a total of 10+ years. I enjoy it very much seeing my students excel in piano, voice, and recorder performance. Each person has a different learning style and I will cater to how each student learns.
