So what exactly is LessonPortal.com? We're a private teacher directory with so much more. Anyone can now learn how to read sheet music, guitar tab, play by ear, or just sing your favorite song with a private teacher! We cover everything from piano to voice to salsa dancing. Thousands of students come to our site to find a new private teacher and read stories and videos submitted by you. Anyone is welcome to come and browse around!
We have three membership options for teachers:
1. Free Forever - which includes a name or Business, a "Quick Resume", up to three instrument categories, a link to a website (optional), a phone number (optional), and a Spam/Scam resistant contact form (each contact request is viewed by human eyes before being forwarded to the teacher)*. 2. "Premium" Membership ($20/year) - which includes ALL the free features plus home page exposure, google map directions to a studio, MP3 audio in the listing, embedded video of your greatest performance, skype account connectivity, and 15 categories (designed more for businesses). You are also listedabove Free members in a ZIP Code search. See "Premium" Example.
3. "Premium Online" Membership ($50/year) - which includes ALL "Premium" membership features plus something no one else offers: If you teach lessons over the Internet, this membership enables teachers to match a student's search REGARDLESS OF THE TEACHER'S ZIP CODE.
